If this preference is enabled, a system-wide status menu will appear when Synk is running. The status menu will show the same information as the status area of the main window; namely, the current action and the file being operated on at the time. It will also allow you to cancel the currently running action.

This is particularly useful for scheduled runs, as they happen in the background without a user interface.
